Cute saying of the day:
When Derry (14) wouldnt play with Elijah in the garden anymore there was a whole load of tears. Elijah followed Derry into the lounge and said:
"Look, I'm very crying!"
Elijah, Lachie and Dad went swimming last night. I cant believe the difference just three weeks of going swimming has made. Elijah has gone from really not enjoying the whole ordeal to absolutely loving it. He has gained so much confidence and now walks off on his own into the pool, right up to his neck. He likes splashing and jumping in and generally being a 2 year old who loves going swimming with his dad.
Today I am 1 day overdue with baby number 5. We have a visit from Nanny for lunch and we need to post a large parcel. It took ages to wrap and now its done its pouring with rain so I dont fancy walking to the post office at the end of the road! Is it totally wrong to drive (in a big people carrier) around 500 yards? ;)

Well, I have at least proved I am not that good at journal keeping!
Note to self: Must try harder.
Pie is now 2years and 7 months and is definitely good at learning, without me having to keep a record of it!
He is facsincated by numbers, and seems to find it all very easy. He has been able to count to 10 for about 6 months now, and yesterday at play gym he demonstrated to me how well he can actually read the printed numbers. They have a target throwing wedge with holes numbered 1-10, and 12 numbered bean bags. He picked each one up in turn, read out what the number was and then tried to throw it into the correct hole. And if it went into the wrong hole, then he would retrieve it and try again. I was very impressed - I didnt realise he could read all the numbers! He even improvised with the number 12 (there wasnt a hole labelled 12 so he threw it into the number 2 hole!)
When we got home I tried asking him to identify some words and letters. He recognised his name, and the letters M for Mummy, D for Daddy and C and L for his siblings!
Baby number 5 is due next weekend so I'm sure I'll be as erratic as ever at posting!
